Rosle Hook Sauce Ladle Review

Have been searching for quite awhile for a small stainless ladle. This is the PERFECT little ladle...unlike larger ones used for soups etc, this is just the right dimension for sauces, gravy or other small portions. Fits perfectly on the rack and blends with the remaining utensiles. Same great quality and ease of use associated with all the Rosle utensils. Very pleased!

Calphalon Nylon Ladle Review

This is a good sized ladle that won't scratch those expensive pots.It should have no problem fitting in your kitchen drawers.Its easy to clean, although, heavy abrasive pads will leave deep gouges in the ladle. No big deal there.

The complaint I have is, the gray part of the handle pops out.For example, you are washing it and give it a good rub to clean the spoon part... well, almost everytime I doing that, the gray part towards the spoon area will pop-up (not completely off the handle, but pops-up).I stop and just pop it back in place.

With that flaw, I worry that food and liquids will get trapped in there, building bacteria and nasty stuff. I contemplate removing the entire gray part to clean it every now and then, but worry that if I take it off, I won't be able to put it back.

Perhaps mine is defective, but, I've missed the boat on returning the product, so, I will keep it until it breaks completely or I get tired of it.

Rosle Fine Skimmer Review

I originally purchased this for use in connection with my deep fryer, but have found it to be useful for lifting ground beef or pork out of the pan before draining off the fat.Its wide, relatively flat head make this task easier than using an ordinary slotted spoon.It is, of course, also good for skimming off scum from chicken or beef broth since it is perforated and not a wire or "spider" skimmer.It is a utensil that I find myself using more frequently than I originally anticipated.

The only drawback is price, as is the case with many Rosle products.I have a few and they are certainly well-made, but an expensive stainless steel, perforated skimmer won't do the job better than a more moderately priced one.I think that it is worth paying a higher price for superior construction in something like a garlic press (I have a Rosle and a Kuhn Rikon) where high quality is more critical to the operation of the item, but I can't say the same for a skimmer.I certainly like this, but you may be better off spending the money on an Oxo at a third of the price and allocating the money you save on something more worthwhile like a new piece of Le Creuset or picking this up as the fourth, free item as part of one of Amazon's "Four for Three" promotions.

Rachael Ray 13-Inch Nylon Ladle, Blue Review

I've been needing a ladle and was glad Rachel Ray offered one in blue to match some of her other cooking utensils.It's a good portion size and made very well.As with other Rachel Ray cooking utensils, this will last me a long time.
