Royal Albert Old Country Roses Teapot Review

I bought this beautiful teapot to match my other Royal Albert tea sets.Too bad it did not come with its own box.I am very disappointed when it arrived in broken pieces.Yes, there is bubble wrap around the teapot but the lid was inside the teapot without any bubble wrap.The shipping box did not has "Handle with Care" label on it.I had called the customer service to get a replacement.Hope this time it will arrive safely.

Royal Albert Old Country Roses Salad Plate Review

I ordered four of these plates and they arrived in a large box with four smaller boxes in it, containing one plate each.

I was a bit disappointed as one of the plate was made in Indonesia (the other three were made in England). You can tell the differences: the colors of the roses are less vibrant (especially the red color of the roses is darker and dull) and the gilding at the periphery seems to be of lessor, uneven quality. I did a blind test to my friend and that one plate was easily picked up among four as inferior. However, I must add that the one from Indonesia is still beautiful.

My initial impression of the other three plates are very positive. The colors are deliciously lively, and the glaze has delicate translucency.

As the Amazon description didn't say anything about the country of origin, and I bought it with the 4-for-3 promotion, which is an additional 25% discount on an already marked down price, I'm overall happy with the products. I just hope that the Indonesian plate, as well as the others, retains its initial beauty for long time.

Royal Albert Old Country Roses Fruit Dish Review

This is made in Indonesia to a high quality. It looks wonderful, no defects I could see, and it is just the right size for a cup of yogurt, small amount of fruit, you get the picture: it is not a supersize item. If you need to eat more of some side dish or dessert that this plate allows, shame on you!

I use it daily in many ways and just love its very popular pattern - it's so civilized. This is one of the items in Old Country Roses I'm collecting (one dayI'll have it all!!!). The problem now is to find the space to keep and/or display them.
