I purchased this for my mother for Christmas.She uses it for everything!The smaller dish is separate from the platter, and both are easy to wash.She microwaves hot dips in this, and is pleased with the high sides of the platter, which holds copious amounts of chips, veggies, breads, and anything else you care to toss in.She has even used it to serve pasta.In short, this is versatile, sturdy, and beautiful.

I rec'd this item from my wish list...it serves it purpose during the holiday meal, but I wish the design was as "crisp" as it is on other items, such as the plates.The design is just not as nicely done on this item as it is on the plates.
