Le Creuset Wok Serving Dish Review

when I received this item, the handle was broken so I had to send it back. However, that's not the reason why I gave only 3 starts. It is a lot smaller than I thought and also the color(Kiwi) is different than my other Le Crueset Kiwi. I think after they started to manufacture Le Crueset in Thailand, they can't get the color right. I ordered couple more items with this one and they're all made in Thailand and they all have same colors. Disappointed on color and size. If you don't mind having a small dish and pay $29.99 then go-ahead. I personally think that it was over priced.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-Inch Skillets Review

I'm a huge fan of Le Cruest's products and own a few well chosen pieces. Having said that, this new satin finish is a disappointment. I was given this a gift a year ago and was thrilled- until I used it.

I really wish they'd go back to their original smooth enamel finish. This must be an attempt to produce an interior more durable for using metal utensils with. An attempt that in my opinion is a failure. Things (like eggs and hamburgers) stick to this finish. You have to use a lot more fat to prevent sticking. It's hard to get clean, takes quite a bit of scrubbing even after soaking. It doesn't give the finish to grilled meats, etc that I want from a fry pan. Forget deglazing it to make a sauce. I find my All Clad 9 inch skillet to be a superior performer to this one.

Since this is a 9 inch skillet, I haven't used it to saute onions, etc., so I can't say how it performs with these items.

I do use it to make cornbread and to roast small portions of meats or veg in the oven, with good results (as long as I'm not going to use the browned bits to make a sauce). This to me though, is not enough uses to justify buying it.

Le Creuset Enamel-on-Steel 6-Quart Covered Stockpots Review

I bought this pot to replace a beloved enameled cookpotthat had seen better days. My old pot was cheap, but saw daily use for eight years. I was looking for something colorful and solidly made that didn't weigh a ton. It needed to be "friendly" enough to handle daily, and be nice enough to leave on the cooktop. This stockpot is fantastic. The happy color and the weight is just right--it really is a beauty. Everything-soup, pasta, rice-has turned out famously in this pot. Clean up is a snap; even stuck on pasta comes right off after a 5 minute soak. On one occasion, some soup stock became burned onto the outside and underside if the pot and it cleaned right off with a gentle scrubbing using anon-abrasive scrub sponge. The higher profile helps prevent boil-overs and is roomy without being a monster. In addition, it looks great left out on the cooktop!

I noticed some reviewers were disappointed to see the origin of the pot, but I don't think the qualityhas been compromised. I have never used or owned a French made Le Creuset product because the price has always been out of my reach, so perhaps there are quality nuances that I am unfamiliar with. I am happy to be able to have such a fine cookpot at a price I could manage, and look forward to many years and many meals with mycheerynew stockpot.
