For the price, I have to admit this is not bad cookware.It's not your top of the line, but I wanted something dishwasher safe, with side pour spouts and I got exactly what I wanted.Don't know how long it will last, but even if it's only a few years that's okay.I didn't give it 5 stars because it's just not 5 star quality cookware; however, it heats evenly and so far it does well in my dishwasher.Other cookware that is colored on the outside seems to fade over time in a dishwasher and this being stainless-steel I don't have that problem.It is teflon coated so that is another plus providing it doesn't wear off - only time will tell.

I've had this set for several years and absolutely love it.Clean-up is a breeze - and yes, I've burned things in these pots.Soaking the pan removes most of the burned-on food - an SOS or Brillo pad takes care of the rest.The lids can rest in the handles when you need them to - a feature I really like.The set also allows for stack cooking - a great help during the holidays!The waterless/greaseless method of cooking allows the natural flavor of foods to really pop.Don't add salt to vegetables - they will taste way too salty if you do.Try cooking corn on the cob in it - it comes out tasting like it's been salted AND buttered!Start out anything you cook on medium heat and then lower your temperature to medium low or low for the remainder of the cooking time.You should never have to use high heat ever again.Try stuffing a whole chicken with peppers and onions, throw in some potatoes and carrots, and you'll have one of the most wonderful meals ever - season the meat only.The leftovers make the best chicken soup ever!Or season a roast as you normally would, throw in peppers, onions, potatoes, carrots - the meat actually absorbs the pepper taste and it's great!I've never used this cookware in the oven, so can't attest to its ability to withstand external heat - the look of the handles seems to preclude oven use, though.Also, be aware that food cooks much more quickly in this cookware, so be careful to not overcook it.The longer you cook it after it's done, the less juice you'll have.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 14-Piece Cookware Set Review

I purchased this set a year ago. I already had the 12 inch skillet, the 5 qt. saute pan and a 2 qt. saucepan, which I LOVE and use on a regular basis. I expected this set to be the same quality as these other Chef's Classic pans that I had purchased individually, but the pans in this set just don't measure up.

The first thing I noticed is that these pans are lighter weight. The 3 qt. saucepan from this set is much lighter than the 2 qt. saucepan I already had.This would be okay, except that food tends to stick more easily to the 3 qt. I think the botton of the pans in this set must be thinner than my other Chef's Classic. Also, these pan do spot more- I use Barkeepers Friend for all my Cuisinart, but I find the pans in this set discolor every time I use them, which is annoying.

My biggest beef is with the pasta insert. I chose this particular set because it included the pasta insert, but the pan is not just useless - it is a menace. The holes are way to small, and the water drains out very slowly. The first time I used it, boiling water flooded over the top and splashed over the stove and onto the floor when I lifted the insert out of the pot. I've tried using less water, lifting the pasta insert slowly, etc. and it still splashes whenever I use it.Today I purchased a Faberware 8 qt. pasta insert- it has much larger holes and when I tried it tonight I couldn't make it splash even when I practically jerked it out of the pot.

Compared to other cookware the quality of this set is decent, but my other Chef's Classic is so much better quality that this set mostly sits in the cabinet. If you want to buy a set, go with the 10 or 12 piece set. You'll save some money and you can use it to buy a pasta pot you can actually use.

I was looking for quality when I purchased this set, and I got it!I read the instructions that followed it.I hand wash, use only plastic and wood utensils, and no non-stick cook spray.I couldn't be happier with them.Nothing sticks, the handles don't get hot, it's a pleasure cooking with them!(I have not tried them in the oven yet, but they are oven safe to a degree!)

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 10-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set Review

I did quite a bit of research, trying to find a good but "reasonably" priced cookware set. When I read the reviews for this KitchenAid set, I thought I would give them a try.I LOVE THEM!!!I used them to cook Christmas dinner and couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase!Clean up is an absolute breeze!!!!It truly is non-stick without using oils or butter.The only downside is that food does get stuck in the rivets, which is the only time you have to use a little elbow grease to clean these pans.

Overall, I'm 100% happy with the price, the look, the weight and the performance of this set.I love the stay cool handles.I quickly tossed my old set (which had become far from non-stick) and am cooking up a storm.I have to admit, on my old set, I always used non-stick spray.When I read the KitchenAid directions, that came with these pans, it said NOT to use spray as it compromised the integrity of the non-stick surface.OOOPS!Lesson learned.Non-stick spray will never touch this set!!!
