MIU France 4486 Spatula Set, High Temp Silicone, Blue, 10" and 12", Set of 2 Review

I see that everyone else loves these spatulas, but I'm wondering what they are using to hold them with -- the handles are horrible. They are just thin, sharp metal. Are you all using gloves or mitts or something?I agree they probably are great with regard to heat-resistance, but the handles are extremely uncomfortable.

World Cuisine Silicone Nonstick 16-3/8-by-11-5/8-Inch Baking Mat Review

Let me start off by saying I was skeptical of how this item would perform. Never used a baking mat before, but let me tell you we are a believer now. My wife bakes a LOT of cookies for Christmas, so I picked up several of these after reading other reviews. Well, after baking about 30 dozen cookies these mats performed wonderfully. All the cookies baked evenly and even the stickiest cookies (the Carmel Turtle Cookies) just slid right off.

My wife was really happy with the performance. Clean up was easy, just rinse and wipe. We've noticed no difference in taste, no smell during baking, just perfect cookies.

I compared against several other mats that were more expensive (including Silpat) and went with this mat due to price (about 1/2 the cost of the others) and are very happy with our decision.

Product Description:
This rubber like non stick baking/freezing mat is a pan liner made of food grade woven silicone. It's thermal shock resistant from -40 F to 600 F and is reusable up to 3000 times. Its ultimate non stick properties are suitable for sugar, chocolate, viennoiserie and confectioner work, as well as cookies and cakes. It's preferable to roll the mat rather than to fold it for storage. No greasing or special maintenance is necessary. Clean with a sponge under warm tap water. The baking mat has a special silicone finish on one side only and therefore does not adhere to a working surface. The baking mat can also be placed directly on an oven rack or cooling rack. It is composed of fiberglass fibers and therefore cannot be cut.

Zyliss Silicone Spoon Spatula, Red Review

I ordered 2 of these spoon-spatulas - one for each of my daughters. They will be in their Christmas stockings!I have had one - I call it a spoonula - for over a year & it has become one of my favorite utensils.I use many items in cooking - favorite wooden spoons, various sizes of silicone scrapers, plastic spoons, etc. This item is great! The silicone means you don't have to worry about too much heat. The handle is very comfortable to hold. The rounded, not-too-wide "spoon" is shallow enough to use somewhat like a scraper and fits perfectly in the corners of pans for stirring to prevent scorching or sticking. This is its main benefit. It goes right in the dishwasher for clean up.I highly recommend this item & suggest you buy one now, because they seem harder & harder to find.
