SimplyLite is a new line of bakeware from CorningWare, made from a super-lightweight glass that acts just like regular glass or ceramic called Vitrelle glass laminate, which is three special layers of glass fused together. It's stain and odor resistant and easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
SimplyLite comes with a limited three-year warranty against breaking, chipping, or staining. As part of this video (near the end) I throw the casserole and the Pyrex lid down on my hardwood floor to demonstrate how durable it is.
SimplyLite can be used in the oven, microwave, or freezer, but not on the stovetop or under the broiler. And it's made in the USA.

I love that this is so light.It cleans very easily and looks great and like the glass and storage lids.There is a trick to opening the plastic lid..once you open the first corner just follow the lid around to the next corner pushing the lid off. I took off a star because Corning did not answer my email about the max oven temp I can use with this bakeware. And I don't like that you have to be so careful with temp changes (my stoneware is more rugged in this respect) but the Corning SimplyLite has a place in my kitchen. And, yes, it is made in the USA !
