Taylor Digital Oven Thermometer with Remote Pager Review

I purchased this item at another retailer (wish I would have gotten it here!) and have used it twice already.The price was great!I had a corded one before that didn't have the remote, but wanted to try this.I used it on the grill to cook some chicken and had no problem with the cord at all.It was great because I didn't have to constantly run to the grill to check the temp -- I did once but then realized I didn't have to and waited for the beeps (and it was cold out).The chicken breast turned out well.I used it in the oven this weekend for a roast, and again, it was great.The meat was done really well and cooked just the way we like it.I like that I don't have to spend all my time in the kitchen checking and checking the temperature.I truly didn't worry about the roast until I got the beeps.Can't wait to try it again for the holidays

Taylor 501 Connoisseur Line Instant Read Thermometer Review

I bought this for the instant read label. I wasn't sure how accurate my old meat thermometer was, which was also quite slow. This thermometer has a lowest temperature reading of 20 degrees which means that you can even check the temperature of milk and other items in your fridge to make sure you're keeping it at a safe temperature. We got this right before Thanksgiving and its first use was to check and see how our turkey was defrosting. It registered 40 degrees in the leg and 35 degrees in the chest area; we didn't have to unwrap the turkey only to find it still frozen inside, which was sorta a tradition in our household.
I decided to get the connoisseur version for the glass face, I'm not a plastic fan, but the real plus was the shape. It doesn't roll off the counter! Someone should have thought of that a long time ago.
Even with the glass face it is not recommended that this be left in the oven; it's really only to do periodic or final checks. This isn't a problem for me since I'm usually just checking to see if things are done.
I would also say it appears to be accurate and it did give a very rapid reading, perhaps because of the slender shaft. I also liked the sheath for storage.
I hesitated to buy this because of the price but all in all I'm quite pleased with it and would recommend it.

WMF Profi Plus Digital Thermometer Review

I bought this as the 4th item in my 4 for 3 promotion.I wasn't explicitly looking for a food thermometer but since I could leverage the promotion by getting it I thought to myself why not.The construction like most WMF products is top notch.Its very easy to handle and easily goes into meat.I have used it a few times on steak and a few times with other meats and have been pleased with the results.The accuracy is stated to be within 1 degree and I have not seen any results to make me disbelieve this claim.I am unsure whether I would have spent this much money on a thermometer by itself, but as part of the promotion its a no brainer.
