This is a good looking decanter, and the punt at the bottom makes it unusual.One 750 ml bottle reaches about the widest portion of the decanter, so this decanter provides maximum aeration.Finally, the price is great!Can't find anything nearly as nice for even close to the price.While this is not crystal -- and if you leave your wine or port in the decanter for very long, you should not use lead crystal, as the lead can leach into the wine -- it is still very nice to look at.Highly recommended

Screwpull Waiter's Corkscrew Review

....but a solid corkscrew.Love the deeply-hinged boot.Makes extracting longer corks a snap.The hinge action and overall construction is superior in every way to the ubiquitous Pulltap corkscrew.

My big problem with it is the bulk.It has a very wide handle.Not a problem if you keep it in a drawer in the kitchen, but too big to comfortably carry in a pocket; as I need to as I'm a bartender at a wine bar.If you want something with the same design but in a slimmer form, seek out the original Coutale.I found the original Coutale corkscrew for $15 at a certain winery in Paso Robles co-owned by a certain famous family from France's Rhone Valley.(If that ain't a hint, chances are you aren't much of a wine snob.)That's what I carry at work now.

I open dozens of bottles a night at work and I'm very particular about the harware I use.I've tried everything from cheap distributor give-aways to Pulltaps to Coutale/Screwpull to Chateau Laguiole (the carbon fiber Eric Beaumard edition is quite nice) and this Screwpull/Coutale design is by far the easiest to use.

Pek Argon Gas Cartridges, Box of 4 Review

Prior to buying this my wife and I would just stuff the cork back in the bottle. It seemed like it was keeping it fresh, so I wanted to see if there was a difference with the use of this product. And there was! After we received this we followed the directions and left a bottle for about a day and a half. When we re-opened the bottle it was just as fresh tasting as the first day we opened it. No hint of lost flavor, and no hint of turning. It just works, and it's very easy to use. If you tend to NOT finish a bottle quite often then you should consider this product.

Metrokane V-Gauge Review

The product helps extend the freshness of an opened bottle of wine.It is especially effective on reds.I found that moistening the stopper "O-rings" with a little water before inserting in the bottle neck helps improve and extend the seal.After about 9 months, the stopper failed to create a vacuum.I soaked the stopper unit in warm water for 30 minutes, opening and closing the vacuum release pin, and got it working again; I was careful not to submerge the gauge dial.I would recommend this product to a friend, along with these bits of advice.

Metrokane Houdini Wine Preserver Review

I've had enough half-bottles of wine starting to turn vinegar only one day after I opened them.I've tried enough different kinds of stoppers trying to prevent it.
FINALLY -- THIS ONE WORKS!!!
I bought this because it came inexpensively with my Rabbit corkscrew (which is also wonderful) and figured it was worth trying.WOW was it ever!Just put the stopper on the bottle, put the little hand pump on the stopper and give it a couple of pumps, and the wine is good to keep!
On the top of each stopper is a small "vacuum relief valve" -- just touch that to the side to let air back in the bottle to equalize the pressure, and the stopper comes out easily.
It has worked well for a couple days at a time.I haven't tried it for longer.
