This steamer works great in the 3 Qt Stainless Steel pan that came with my 10 piece Emeril stainless steel cookware (volume stamped on the bottom of the pan). The cover for the pan fits perfectly on the steamer.
The steamer has a good diameter all the way down and nests correctly on the rim of the pan. The steam seems to circulate evenly.I filled it with broccoli and it was cooked consistently bottom to top.
I would definetly recommend this if you have the correct 3 Qt pan.
