VillaWare V5225 Crepe Maker Review

I grew up in a Crepe lovin' household. We had sweet crepes for breakfast, savory crepes for lunch and meat filled crepes for dinner.
I always have used a stove top crepe pan and thought it slow and kind of a pain. That is how my dad always did it so I always thought it was the best way.
Not anymore. A friend recommended I try the Villaware electric crepe maker. Non stick coating, quick and easy. Boy were they right. Just dip the the cooker in the pan they include and you are making a crepe every 25 seconds or so. Easy to clean. I love this thing. Good recipes too, altough their basic recipe is not sweet enough.
If you love crepes. This is the piece to get.

World Cuisine 13-Inch Diameter Tibos Electric Crepe Maker (10103) Review

I have used this product twice and I am very impressed with the uniform cooking of this Crepe maker.The large 13" nonstick surface makes perfect crepes everytime... no more throwing out the first crepe!The plactic spreading device makes it easy to evenly spread the batter for beginners.The crepe maker is much more substantial than the picture shows, in my opinion.I found the suggested thermostat settings a little too hot causing the crepes to brown too quickly but, after lowering the temperature, I was knocking out multiple banana/Nutella crepes in a matter of minutes.The results are much more like the crepes I got in Paris than ones I've made in a crepe pan.

De Buyer Pancake / Crepe Pan, Blue Steel, 24 cm Review

Just used this pan for the first time, and every crepe came out perfectly.The instructions said to brown some vegetable peelings in it before using it the first time, then clean with hot water and NO soap.I did this, and if anything the pan outperformed non-stick ones I'm used to.By the way, the secret to making great crepes is to let the batter rest for an hour or more before cooking.A good way to dry non-stainless cookware like this is to put it back on the burner for a short time after washing.Highly recommended.

Staub 1212823 Black Crepe Pan 11-in. Review

Our friends from France had a similar French-made crepe pan that they make their crepes with.I thought I'd try this pan, especially because Staub creates such excellent cookware.

It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen.My only complaint is that it is heavy.If you like to swirl the crepe batter to create your crepes, this makes maneuvering the pan hard on the wrist.This crepe pan is meant to be left on the stove top while using the included wooden spreader for the batter--the manner people from Brittany say they grew up with.

We're going to get a second lighter weight crepe pan (for the tilt and swirl method) so that we can keep the crepes coming at home.

If anything, just looking at this pan brings back wonderful memories of a trip to France.
