Such value for money here, no need to spend 3-4x as much on All-Clad...these are just as heavy and put together just as well. I'm glad I could never get myself to drop the $$$ on the other companies product. I expected them to be nice from reading the Consumer Reports piece but I was blown away by this set.This IS the set to buy, don't get a nonstick set...from experience. Even the best coatings wear off over time, you can't use metal whisks in them, and who really needs a nonstick stock pot?
You don't need nonstick for most cooking, you will get better browning and pan sauces from a regular pan, yes you need nonstick for eggs and pancakes but you can always buy a matching nonstick skillet to go with these and still wind up spending much less.
