Nopro 2.5 Quart Sauce Pot Review

I first purchased the 8-cup multi-pot for cooking rice, and I was so impressed with it that I bought this second pot.They are extremely sturdy and well-made, and they are beautiful to look at.At first, the sides of the pot surprised me because they seemed to be thinner than I expected.However, my ill-usage hasn't bent or dinged them at all, and they hold and distribute heat extremely well.

The lid is not tight-fitting, and just rests on the top, so there is some sputtering when you're cooking things with a high liquid content, and if you cook rice in them, they do discolor a bit in a rice pattern at the bottom.It doesn't bother me or affect the cooking results, so I haven't bothered to try to figure out the best way to get it out.The pot was well-documented, so the answer is likely in the pamphlet that came with it.Shamefully, I haven't bothered to look yet.

All in all, nothing detracts from how much I love this cookware and how great I feel using it.Eventually, I will get everything on the list, and its affordability makes it an outstanding value.As another reviewer said, water boils fast and well in this pot, so I'm looking forward to purchasing a stockpot for pasta.

WMF Satin Steel and Glass Sugar Bowl Review

I was looking for a sugar pourer like the ones you'd find at a diner.This one isn't it.

It looks nice, but what the description doesn't tell you is that it only pours a half a teaspoon at a time, by design.A little tube down the middle measures the dosage, and if you want more than a half teaspoon, you've got to flip the whole thing over and fill up the little tube again.

Lets say you want three teaspoons of sugar in your coffee, you'll have to flip this stupid little thing up and down six times to make a cup!

Furthermore, the tube doesn't fill well if the bowl is less than half full.So often you'll get less than a half teaspoon! [...]

they've really thought out this product.not only is it solidly constructed, but the mesh is extremely tight and the legs prevent it from sitting directly on the counter, so you don't get oil all over your countertop.because it is all stainless, it can go right in the dishwasher.the whole thing makes sense!

Fagor Splendid 10-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner Review

This is an excellent pressure cooker at an excellent price. I do feel they should have included a trivet and metal plate. All of the accessories are extra.

I ordered the canning rack which holds 4 pints. I don't believe it would be wise to try to can quarts in this one, but the directions were not clear. In fact, I would have given this a much higher rating if they were, but I had trouble figuring out how to use it...and one does want to follow directions where a pressure cooker is concerned. They kept referring to to pressures, hi and low. I finally realized the 6 qt model has both but not the 10 and the directions were applicable to each model. The 10 quart pressures at 15 lbs....FAST!

I once had Fagor 6 qt model and themetal was heavier than this one. However, the upside is that it is easier to lift up to pour things from it which is a plus if you're elderly as I am.

I really like they way this cooks; fast, easy to clean. It's beautifully designed pan.

There are numerous uses for non-pressure cooking too. Big enough for a stock pot, cooking spagetting for a crowd, etc etc.

I haven't canned with it. However, I plan on making a big pot of soup and canning what's left.

One reviewer mentioned that you can't fill it over 2/3 full. That is true of ANY pressure cooker. So if you are debating between a 6 quart or a 10 quart, go for the 10 quart.

There are additional accessories for this..canning rack, bucket insert (for spaghetti, etc.)I recommend getting the lid for non-pressured food and keep the pressure lid for pressure.

I don't think you will be disappointed with this product.

Enclume SCR5 Shelf Coat Rack, Hammered Steel and Wood Review

I loved this product, it looks just like the photo, and is very nice quality.I was unhappy that I had to return it.I had selected it for a very specific space in my home, and discovered that this rack should be be installed onto the wall studs.The space I had in mind did not have studs in the right places to make this item workable for me.I advise measuring carefully and locating wall studs before ordering.I rated it 4 out of 5 stars because I feel that this necessary information should have been stated by the manufacturer on Amazon.
