Kitchen Aid Cookware: Calphalon One Infused Anodized DR10SC 10-Inch Stainless Steel Lid Review

Hello!Just a quick FYI... the description of this item doesn't specifically mention the TriPly Stainless and the TriPly Copper lines, but I ordered this in the hopes that it would fit my TriPly 3-quart Saute Pan, and much to my pleasant surprise, it fits perfectly!Also it's very heavy-duty and beautiful.In my humble opinion, I really prefer the Calphalon TriPly over the alleged creme de la creme: All-Clad.I have some of each, and the big functional advantage of the Calphalon TriPly is the flared rim.When I pour something out of my All-Clad, I invariably end up spilling pretty much all over: down the side of the saucepan, on the counter, over the edge of the container I'm pouring into, etc.But with the Calphalon TriPly (I have some copper and some stainless, both of which are gorgeous) when I pour something, there's really no spilling / drippage to speak of.On a purely aesthetic note, I prefer the styling of the Calphalon: the gently curved handles (the "Cool-V" handles really stay cool, too!), the slightly domed lids, the flared rims.That being said, I really don't care for the glass lids of the Calphalon TriPly Stainless (the Calphalon TriPly Copper comes with gorgeous stainless lids).They seem to trap cooking odors within the metal rim, which comes into play when I cook something spicy and savory one meal, and then a delicate dessert sauce the next meal.I also have seen some reviews about the glass lids exploding, cracking, etc., which hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm thinking that I'll replace my glass lids with the stainless ones, like the previous reviewer.But, that being said, I LOVE the Calphalon TriPly cookware!
