Kitchen Aid Cookware: WMF SmarTea Tea Set Review

i always love WMF's design and quality, but not for this tea pot. overall quality of the glass pot is fine, the strainer is made of steel mashed wire and there is some metal fringe hanging right around the connecting vertical line--which is not supposed to be made that way--cut my hands a couple of times and damaged the washing sponge while cleaning the strainer. a small but critical manufacturing issue.

The handsome glass pot sits atop a stainless steel base (rechaud) with an opening for a tea light for keeping the tea warm (tea light not included).The non-slip rechaud is made from WMF's Cromargan 18/10 stainless steel, which features 18 percent chrome and 10 percent nickel for acid resistance and added gloss. All WMF teapot strainers are made of rust-proof stainless steel and are designed to let the aroma fully develop in the teapot. The tea strainers can be easily removed from the teapots. The glass teapot and strainer are dishwasher safe; hand washing is recommended for the rechaud.
