Mikasa Antique White Covered Butter Dish Review

I like the butter dish as it matches our other Antique White dishware. My only complaint is that the base is very wide - fortunately it fit in our refrigerator's compartment but I imagine that on many refrigerators it will be too wide.

Signature Housewares Sorrento Butter Dish Review

This is a nice, solid ceramic piece.It is heavy, however, and the color (burgundy) was brownish and dull.I returned it.I may try the same item in Ruby, and see if it has better color.The heavy stoneware should hold the coolness necessary to keep the butter at just the right consistency.

Emile Henry Butter Pot, Azur Review

We didn't know what a butter pot was until we ran across one at a cooking store.They do exactly what they are supposed to do -- keep butter fresh and at the perfect temperature for use.

But most of the pots we saw were ugly -- so ugly we would have been embarrassed to leave them out while cooking, let alone at the table.The Emile Henry pot was the first tasteful one we could find.

We're on our second, the first having lost an argument with a granite countertop.
