Stansport Stainless Steel Mess Kit Review

My wife and I used this along with some older cookware on our three day camping trip.I did a little research online and read the differences between stainless steel products and aluminum.Aluminum ones are a lot cheaper but are not as forgiving when cooking over a campfire.You definitely want a stainless steel mess kit!
The mess kit came in a small blue polyester bag with a drawstring.It isn't a very big mess kit but its good enough when cooking for two.When the pan is hot you don't have to worry about the handle burning you because of the way it's designed.
After cooking breakfast I went off to clean the cookware.My aluminum set had to be scrubbed hard even after soaking but this stainless steel mess kit took almost no effort at all.It was very great!
When it comes time to put it away you will find that it all nests very neatly inside itself.The pot and lid sit inside the pan and the bowl sits upside down on top of the pan to make a lid.The handle then folds over to lock it all in place.It is a very nice compact set.
I recommend this to anyone looking for a small compact mess kit for one or two people.

Chinook Trekker 8.5 Inch Hard Anodized Frying Pan Review

I actually bought this solely for the handles, not for camping, but for household use.Risky...but worth a try in the 4 for 3 bargain. It cooks excellent, doesn't give off that "non-stick" stink, works nicely on glass top stove, sits nice and flat, good quality with a medium weight, not super heavy but not anywhere close to thin or flimsy, and the absolute greatest part of all.............THE HANDLES FOLD UP!!!!!I want all my pots and pans with these handles, made for household use!!!!!

One complaint - the handle have no latch to hold them together.It would be nice it there was a little metal hook or latch or something so when you are cooking, they can't fold back against the hot pan.It didn't happen but I had to be careful when I was working with the food in the pan to make sure each time I stopped that I left the handles in the perfect OUT position.

BUT AGAIN.....PLEASE MAKE MORE, IN EVERY SHAPE AND SIZE, EVERY KIND OF POT AND PAN NEEDED FOR A COMPLETE KITCHEN SET! WHAT A TERRIFIC INVENTION!WHAT A SPACE SAVER!more more morePLEASE!!!!!

Stansport Premium Quality Stainless Steel 7 piece Deluxe Family Cookset Review

This is a GREAT cookware set to have for the family camping trip! It's made of chef-quality, yet lightweight, stainless steel which makes it very easy to lift and easy to clean as well. It also stacks nice and neatly together so I'm able to store it a cabinet in our tent trailer - the cabinet being on the small side and not very deep. On our last camping trip, I was able to cook more than enough food for our family of six, which includes four very hungry boys :) We even prepared a wonderful egg and pancake breakfast, using the smaller pots as mixing bowls (they have slightly rounded bottom edges on the inside making mixing and cleaning very easy) for the pancake batter and scrambled eggs, and then used the 3-quart pot along with the universal lid as a pancake warmer, and boy did that keep them piping hot on a very chilly morning. I highly recommend this set for a family looking for a quality camping cookware set that stores very easily!
