This pan, when empty, tips over towards the handle. The handle is heavier than the skillet. It makes preheating the pan (to melt butter for example) very annoying. I would definitely not recommend it, for this reason.

Circulon Elite 8-Inch and 10-Inch Skillet Twin Pack Review

I've only had these pans for a few weeks, but I'm quite satisfied with them so far.

My use is mainly for eggs and other sticky foods that I find can present problems for otherwise high quality cookware - it seems that durable non-stick surfaces are relatively high technology, whereas all other aspects of top cookware involves quality hand manufacture of relatively low-tech construction.

Anyway, these Circulon pans are medium weight - not quite as thick and heavy as the aforementioned super-premium makes, but heavier than cheapo junk.

And, the non-stick surface is top-notch.Evidently, the grooved surface does indeed work - eggs and other foods hardly stick at all - less than any other new pan I've used.Cleanup is quite easy as a result.

Hopefully, the durability will be as good as claimed by Circulon - but so far, everything about the pans would lead me to believe their claims.

PSThe description here is inaccurate in one aspect - this package does not include any covers for the pans.But for frypan uses, you would probably want a splatter shield rather than a cover anyway.

Circulon Accessories 3-Piece Open Skillet Set Review

I've spent a fortune in my lifetime buying "non-stick" fry pans, only to throw them out after a year or two. The finish comes off, they scratch, & they become difficult to clean. I finally decided to get smart & buy something that will last. After doing a little research on Circulon, here's what I learned...They have 3 "grades" that you can distinguish by their handles. The best is "infinite", it has an all steel handle. Next is "elite", it has a steel & silicone handle. Finally, there's Circulon 2/Total (that's what these are). They have a "plastic" handle. Each pan is oven-proof.(Infinite 500, Elite 400, 2/Total 350 degrees) Outside of the feel of the handles, one down side is that the Infinite is the only one that is "diswasher safe". With the other two, handwashing is recommended.I used to put everything in the dishwasher, and to be honest, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about handwashing them. What a piece of cake! Inside & out cleans beautifully & quickly. The triple pack was a great bargain compared to buying them separately, but I also purchased an "elite" and an "infinite" fry pan in addition to these, so I can tell you that in comparison they all cook food the same. I am extremely happy with the quality of these pans.....
