Nautica Sloane Square Glass 1 1/2-Quart Pitcher Review

I wanted an elegant, solid, well-proportioned, good-sized water jug for dinner parties, and this fits the bill. It's a little pricey, but it looks good, feels good, handles well and pours well, and holds enough water for 6. This was a good buy for me. I bought a much cheaper pitcher before this, and it cracked the second time I used it -- I think the glass was too thick. This jug, however, is much more robust.

Revere 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set Review

I ordered this set & when it arrived the plastic lids were cracked. I returned it for another set & those lids were cracked also. I have a nice set of Revere bowls bought from a Revere store. These are not the same quality.

Pyrex Smart Essentials 8-Piece Mixing Bowl Set Review

Pyrex doesn't need a review--it's great stuff.Non-pourous so it doesn't soak up tastes and smells that can never be washed out.Tough and beautiful, Pyrex does it all.

So the bowls are a no brainer, but why buy these instead of others.The tops of course are the difference.I've found that most Pyrex bowls with tops I had looked at didn't fit on their bowls very well or were made out of materials which didn't seem like they would outlast me--as they should.These tops are durable, make a good seal that wont pop off or leak.And they're labeled with the various volumes of the bowls.

The size range of the set is also very good--from one the size of a cereal bowl to one large enough for a pot-luck salad without being so big that it wouldn't fit in a kitchen cabinet--and they all fit inside each other without the smaller ones rising above the rims of the larger ones.

You can put all the bowls inside each other then close them all up with the largest top--with enough room to put paper towels between each bowl and the next for safety.

I sent this Pyrex set to a 50-year old friend in England, and he was thrilled to receive it, especially since the set arrived safely and unbroken. He is an avid chef and griller. The covers enable the Pyrex pans to be used for marinading as well as storing. I chose the Pyrex also because it is made in the USA, and it is a quality product. The shipping was very fast.

Pyrex Smart Essentials 6-pc. Mixing Bowl Set - Multicolor Lids Review

These bowls are great.I almost got the set with 4 bowls, but I'm glad I didn't as I think the smallest bowl would have potentially been too small.These bowls are very nicely sized.

I like that it is very easy to store these.Simply put the lids on each bowl and next them inside each other.Do make sure they are dry though if you do this as the lids seal extremely well.I've had covered mixing bowls before and they've always sealed like crap.I'm very pleased with how these seal.

These are of course easy to clean.They are easy to use a hand mixer in.They have a variety of very useful sizes for your needs.

I'm very pleased with these items.I don't think I'd recommend putting the lids in the dishwasher in the long term though as I think it could screw up how well the lids seal.The bowls themselves could easily go into the dishwasher though.

Bodum Pavina Double-Wall Thermo Glasses, Set of 2 Review

I purchased these after seeing them on the Bodum.com website. I admit the cool factor lured me in.

The cups maintain the temperature of a cappuccino for as long as it takes me to get to the bottom of the cup.Additionally it is nice not to need coasters (especially if you have men or children in the home).

The 9 oz cup is less than 4 inches tall, making it fit perfectly under the fill spout of my super-automatic Saeco espresso machine (which I also love).

My husband and I have had 4 of these cups for more than 6 months and not one of them has broken.I mention this because the 9 oz cups seem to be much more sturdy than the 21 oz Pavina ice tea glasses. We broke one of the 21 oz cups with the first ice cube that went into the cup.We broke 2 others in the first two weeks.

Bottom line, I cannot recommend the 21 oz Pavina.However, the 9 oz Pavina cups are very tough, having survived 6 months of daily use with less than dainty owners.I think you will be very pleased with your purchase of the 9 oz Pavina cups.

UPDATE:JULY 18, 2006
All 4 of the 9 ounce Pavina mugs are still intact even with frequent use.I continue to recommend this product.
