I use this pan for bacon and eggs, just for the two of us.I let it preheat a little so that the pan is completely hot.I put bacon on one end and eggs on the other.I put a big round glass lid over the bacon so that it doesn't splatter.It's perfect for cooking up bacon for a crowd if we have company.It sits perfectly flat against the stove top, which is my ceramic stove top requires.It's great for breakfast, grilled sandwiches, hamburgers for a crowd, etc.I've owned a number of griddles over the years and the Calphalon griddle is my favorite.

Zojirushi EP-RAC50 Gourmet d'Expert 1350-Watt Electric Skillet Review

I bought this pan in March, and now that I have had it for almost a year I feel I can honestly say, 'It does everything as advertised'!
It can get REALLY HOT, or simply keep the meal warm.
No more 'hot spots' is one of my favorites!The pans heat evenly.
I love having two pans. I have used it for everything from soup to stir fry.
It has earned the title of 'Super Pan' in our house!

Calphalon One Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle Review

We've had this griddle for a couple of years now. The surface has turned somewhat dark and the non-stick surface is not quite non-stick any longer.

Someone had told me that using canola spray oils (like Pam) can cause a sticky buildup on non-stick surfaces which are difficult to come off and then end up burning on and ruining a surface like the Calphalon.I really don't know if it's true or if the pan has just lost its non-stick properties over time.The ONLY non-stick cookware we've ever purchased which has not ever lost its non-stick surface after a few years are some high end ("expensive") stuff we bought at Costco from one of their traveling road shows.

But I contacted Calphalon. They said they the cookware has a lifetime warranty and all we have to do is pay shipping to send in the pan and they will replace it free.

What REALLY disturbs me about this pan is that it slides over the stove top grates.This may not be a problem on glass cooktops but on the standard ceramic type grates that came with our GE Profile gas oven/cooktop, this griddle is the ONLY one of our pans that slides around. I consider that potentially dangerous.

I would spend the money to ship back and replace, but I certainly would not one new again.

Circulon Elite 12-Inch Nonstick Hard-Anodized Round Griddle Review

I am an avid Indian cooking enthusiast. I make Indian crepes regularly and use this griddle pretty often. Over the past six years I have tried both non-stick(expensive ones such as analon and calphalon) and cast iron griddles to make these crepes, but have found issues with both types of griddles. The non-stick wears out pretty fast(because for Indian crepes and bread,you need to use high heat which wears out the griddle when used regularly) and cast-iron requires too much oil. Additionally I am unhappy with the texture of pancakes(both indian and western) in the non-stick pans.
This Circulon griddle gives me the best of both types of griddles and requires no (or very little) oil and I am able to make paper-thin crepes in them with much ease. This to me is quite amazing;I think the even heating provided by the non-stick smooth base helps prolong the life of this pan(I need to use considerably lesser amount of oil and heat to make these crepes compared to other griddles).
In addition I was initially skeptical of the grooves on the griddle in my opinion the grooves make this non-stick griddle work better than any I have used. I highly recommend this product.

Simply Calphalon Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle Review

A really fine pan for those weekly pancake breakfasts. Not as heavy as the more expensive Calphalon pans, but works just as well. I use it with a bamboo spatula so expect it will last for many, many years. Only disappointment is that it was made in China, not Ohio, like my other Calphalon pans, but that probably explains the good price.

Farberware Specialties 18 by 10-Inch Double Burner Griddle Review

We purchased our first Farberware griddle at a Sears store. AFter trying it out on our coal stove, we were delighted with the grilled cheese sandwiches (our first try on the griddle), then we tried hamburgers and potatoes. Again great. Later when the weather warmed, we used it on our electric stove and were just as happy with the results. We liked it so much we purchased one from Amazon for our daughter-in-law.

Demeyere Apollo Duo Grill Review

I bought a Miele Induction cooktop w/ the Demeyere 5 pc. set when I remodeled the kitchen in 2008/09.That cookware turned out to be the most amazing product I've ever cooked with, so I bought some additional items, this Duo Grill being one of those pieces.

Demeyere is clearly a step above other brands.The way the pan heats on the 11" burner of the KM5773 cooktop is pretty impressive since a substantial portion of it isn't even in contact with the burner area.This item was purchased primarily for things like french toast (6 pieces at once I might add) but can be used for many other things, including oven use (not yet tested.)

The product is wonderful.It performs as one would expect at this price level.Demeyere is simply the best cookware I have ever used and I now have about $1400 invested in what I consider a minimalist approach to cooking.This Apollo Duo Grill works better than anything I've previously owned and will outlast the other "leading brands."I like the buy it once approach so the added cost isn't an issue since it will likely last the 20 - 30 years Demeyere is claiming.
