I use this tool daily.Not only is it beautiful,but it does a great job of stirring the pot.Much more effective than a plain wooden spoon.The flat bottom is good for deglazing.

*10 months later update. Do not let these spoons sit in liquid (like soak in water for an hour to get off cheese residue)because the spoons split exposing the seams in the spoon. Wishing they were sealed like my Joyce Chen wooden spoons (that I recommend).Bought all available sizes of these Calphalon wooden spoons and extremely pleased with the quality and size of the products. Sturdy, thick, solid, and smooth finish.

I have been using these for awhile now.I love all her products.These are really easy to use.I Keep them from drying out by hand washing them and then adding a little bamboo oil to them about once a month.They show no signs of wear yet and I have used them almost everyday for atleast 6 weeks.

Calphalon Utensils Wood Corner Spoon Review

My wife likes using wooden kitchen utensils and she tells me this is one of the best she's ever seen.

I do cook also and I'm not a fan of wooden utensils but I will say that this is a good heavy duty spoon that you will never find in a discount store. We should get many years of use out of it unless it's abused and I think it could stand up to a bit of abuse.
