Le Creuset Stoneware Deep Dish Loaf Pan, Cobalt Review

That I bought another one so I could bake two loaves at once. We go through a lot of bread here, and I love to share with friends and neighbors so I bake almost daily.

Through the years I have tried all sorts of bakeware. For artisan breads I like the cloche by Sassafrass. But for regular loaves you can't beat these stoneware pans. The bread comes out evenly browned, with a lovely rise and shape every time.

Easy to clean, also works fine for meatloaf. And beautiful. What's not to love?

I'm a longtime believer in cast iron so I am slowly collecting Le Creuset pieces. I have other stoneware baking pieces of theirs and they all perform wonderfully.

This stuff is pricey, each purchase has been saved and planned for. And you can cook just as well in a Lodge skillet or dutch oven. It doesn't have to be blue or enamel lined. If you don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen, or aren't concerned about food safety issues, maybe you don't need it. I have a gas stove and before that a wood stove. I suspect this cookware performs better there than on an electric stove top. The ovens should be the same.

If you love to cook and slow food is your style, these products are a good investment. They will serve you well for a lifetime. Then you can will them to the lucky ones.

Nordic Ware Holiday Pancake Pan Review

So cute! (see customer images). Mine is an older version, I think, because mine only has 4shapes (I didn't get it on amazon). I wish that mine had seven like this one though, because 4 at a time is slow! My only complaint is that you have to be patient fliping them over. it is hard to get the spatula into the circular insets, and I had to use my fingers to help after the spatula pried it up, but they all came out perfectly! They didn't leave chunks behind on the pan at all.

Whole wheat pancakes do not look good... the shapes, while accurate, are harder to see (at least with the recipe I tried).

If you are having trouble with the pancakes, try this recipe:[...](recipezaar recipe #106670). It's the one I have been using with the pan, and I've had no trouble with the pancakes using it.

Farberware Classic 16-Quart Stainless-Steel Stockpot with Lid Review

Okay, I'll admit that I'm a bit biased towards Farberware in the first place, but with this pot they've done just about everything right. The aluminum slug sealed into the base makes for very even heating, which is important since it's wider than most burners. And it holds up to high heat well - I've been browning meat and making roux in mine for a few years now. The lid is snug enough without being a pain and the loop handles are nice - the smaller Classic series stock pots have the molded plastic ones instead. The only thing I'd change in the design of the pot is to use a brushed finish - I tend to prefer that over chrome because any chrome pot that I use very often ends up with a patina of scratches anyway, and I prefer that they all run in the same direction. But who's complaining? This pot performs where it counts - it heats quickly and evenly and has taken quite a beating over the years without so much as a ding.

But here's the big difference: You can buy 8 Lennox classes for less than the cost of 2 comparable Reidels. It should be noted that just like Riedel, these glasses are made in Austria. We love drinking wine in these glasses, our friends love drinking wine in these glasses and you will love drinking wine in these glasses too.
One caution:I sure would like to know more about the "lifetime warranty" mentioned in the Amazon.com description, as nothing came with the glasses on this. However, this is not the first time that I have been milead by Amazon.com on warranty issues.

All-Clad Cop-R-Chef 8-Inch Fry Pan Review

This is my first piece of All-clad and I'm amazed at the quality and ease
of use. Baked on, reheated meatloaf was a breeze to remove - soaked
for 20 mins in warm water and didn't even need the nylon side of the scrubber.
The sponge side removed everything in one swipe. It's clear
this pan will last forever. Will definitely be getting the 12" pan to
