Kaiser Bakeware Kaisercast 9-1/2-Inch Classic Bundtform Pan Review

I purchased this pan after reading several reviews on different websites.At times, I have had trouble with other bundt-type pans completely releasing the cakes, no matter how well I prepared the pan, but not with this Kaiser Bundform Pan.This pan never fails to release perfect cakes with a simple, elegant design.The slices can be cut at the already delineated angles, and the cake remains lovely after several pieces have been removed.Out of five bundt pans, the Kaiser is my favorite.This was also a great buy, as usual, from Amazon.com.

Farberware Classic Series 2-Quart Saucepan with Double Boiler Insert and Lid Review

This set has come in handy many times in the kitchen.The pots can be used together or separately as a double boiler, although the bottom on the smaller one is not very thick.They are good for making sauces but if you make large quantities, you should get a larger double boiler.

Reed & Barton Berkshire-Matte 18/10 Stainless Steel 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1 Review

This is a beautifully classic pattern, with a nice weight to it (ours is 18/8 stainless, but Amazon advertises 18/10 stainless...don't know if this is a different version or if Amazon has the wrong info?).We selected & received this R&B pattern for our wedding 5 years ago and I still love it to this day.It's our daily use and goes great with our china, too...Mikasa's Crown Jewel Platinum.We wanted something to go with both, and this does, perfectly.

A couple of complaints, though.The knife says "Stainless Handle" on it and one of our knives (out of 12) actually broke in half when I dropped it on the floor.Also, the "cutting part" (the part that's not the handle) of the knife discolors easily, sometimes looks rusty, but polishes pretty well with a damp cloth.So, I don't know what the "cutting part" of knife is made with, but obviously it's not stainless, but the handle is.Despite that, I'm still very pleased with this flatware and love opening my flatware drawer several times a day to see & use this classy set.

Farberware Classic 10-Inch Fry Pan with Lid Review

I have always wanted to own a classic aluminum piece of cookware and a skillet was a perfect choice.I had two gift certificates from doing online surveys so my total cost out of pocket after shipping was added was .58.So, I thought even if I didn't like the pan a great deal once I got it I only paid .58 cents and it would be no big loss.Was I pleasantly surprised at the curvy lines and clean appearance and tight fitting lid.It cooks wonderfully and the rolled, high sides make cooking even easier and cleanup is easy too.I can see myself reaching for this skillet time and time again.(The only flaw is it could use a handle on the opposite side to make draining liquids easier.):-)

Farberware Classic 2-Quart Saucepan with Lid Review

This Farberware pan is a study in functionality. It is well made and quite rugged; it has a relatively thick bottom and heats very evenly, and has high quality, durable phenolic handles, which are securely attached and will last a long time. It also has an attachment on the handle to enable hanging from a hook.
My only critique of the pan is that it is a bit too tall relative to other two quart saucepans, and not as big in diameter as I would like, as it won't cover even the smallest burner on an electric range. That is the main reason that I gave it four stars instead of five, but I also deducted a bit for appearance: the pan is homely. I am not looking for a major style statement in my cookware, but rivals like Cuisinart have similarly priced high quality cookware that is considerably more stylish and less dowdy.
Recommended overall: will give years of good service if treated with even a modicum of care, which, in the end, is what I really want from a saucepan.
