Vollrath Co. Jelly Roll Pan 18x13x1-in. Review

I have a couple of these for general use. They're good quality, sturdy aluminum "jelly roll pans" though I tend to use them as cookie sheets.

Nordic Ware Bakers Half Sheet, 13 X 18 X 1 Review

Sick of cheapie "cookie sheets" that buckle when you use them and only last a couple of years? Spend a little and get a pro 1/2 sheet pan. It's very sturdy and will probably last a home user a lifetime (heck, they last years in commercial kitchens). Fits in standard home ovens.

Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 17.25 by 12.25 Inch Jelly Roll Pan Review

I got a smaller Chicago Metallic jelly roll pan for Christmas and we've used it for just about everything because unlike our other cookie sheets it DOES NOT warp.Since we've ruined our other big cookie sheets by using the non-stick sprays on them I decided to replace them.I tried to find these pans un-coated like my other pan (I really don't trust "non-stick" things anymore) but the price on these was too good to pass up.We got them within a week of ordering them even though I used the free super saver shipping and we decided to test out the non-stick by making cookies.We didn't use parchment, or grease the pans, or anything we just put the chocolate chip pumpkin cookie batter directly on the pans then put them in the oven.Not a thing stuck and all we had to do to clean them was wipe them off.Like the directions say you have to pay attention to the temperature and cook time, and maybe reduce one or both but since they warn you I don't blame them for the handful of over done cookies when the other dozens came out beautifully.Also the non-stick coating seems to be a lot different than the stuff used on older pans... this stuff looks and feels as if it is simply a texture added to the surface of the pan, we slid them around on the metal racks in our oven (when cold and when hot), rotated them, put cold batter on them then put them back in the oven, and generally used them as we would use any of our old cookie sheets and I didn't find a scratch on them when we were done.If I could convince my mom to ditch all of our old pans (pity that is a pipe dream) I would replace every one with a Chicago Metallic pan, both non-stick and regular.I really love their products.

Chicago Metallic Commercial 18-Inch-by-13-Inch Jelly Roll Pan Review

After a lifetime of nonstick baking sheets, I was persuaded to try this basic metal jelly roll pan with a parchment liner instead.The difference is incredible!It may be called a "jelly roll" pan, but I can bake upwards of a dozen cookies on it and rarely burn one.With the old nonstick sheets (of which I tried and discarded several brands over the years)the burn rate was more like 25-50%.Other uses for this sheet are under other open dishes, like casseroles and pies, for catching the drips and runovers -- the raised sides make this possible.
Using a sheet of parchment paper or a silicone mat, cleanup is a snap.Once in a while it doesn't hurt to handwash to remove accumulated residue on the edges, but it takes a lot of baking before that becomes an issue.
This pan will occasionally warp at the higher temperatures, but always snaps back as it cools down.I don't think I've come across a baking sheet yet that hasn't done that at one time or another, so it probably just comes with the territory.
It looks like I am done with forever replacing my scratched cookie sheets!

This product is wonderful and nice and heavy.I love the fact that it has a good warranty and it's nice to have a product made in the USA, the price is great on it and it will hold up forever.It cleans up well and we are very happy with the product.I"m going to be buying a larger one just like for bigger jobs.

Nordic Ware 13 x 18 x 2 Inch Sheet Cake Baking Pan with Cover Review

I was looking for a larger baking pan with a lid. I have pyrex, but wanted an aluminum pan for my specific needs and definately needed a lid to keep my baked goods fresh. The other benefit with this pan/lid set is that the lid is raised in a fashion that if you bake an item that rises to the top of the pan, then frost the top, the lid will not rest on your baked frosted masterpiece ruining all of your hard work. The pan seems to be good quality aluminum as well.
