This pot rack is everything I hoped for, and more.I just downsized from a house with a large country kitchen to a modern condo with 1/3 the space, and nowhere to store my heavy-duty cookware.This very sturdy rack allows me to hang all my pots and pans on the wall, plus display the antique tins I was going to have to get rid of.It's very heavy (35lbs), and was a real challenge for my husband to hang.But well worth the effort!Our suggestion:get help to hang it (to support the weight)--and make sure your studfinder works!

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter so she could try to make her mom a special cake as a surprise. And guess what, she surprised me at how well she made it all by herself. Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless-Steel 8-Quart Stockpot with Glass Lid Review

This is a great stockpot. I had "borrowed" my mother-in-law's 6qt Wolfgang Puck Tri-Ply for several years and finally decided to return it. After using her tri-ply for so long, I knew I didn't want to go back to any other material. I was nervous about not finding one in my price range (AllClad for example is way too much for my modest income). When I saw this on Amazon for such a great price, I was concerened that the 8qt would be too big for my little kitchen. Since I couldn't find anything comparable, I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it isn't much bigger than the 6qt Wolfgang.

The glass lid is fun because I can watch my stuff cook without lifting the lid. The handles stick out enough so that I don't burn my knuckels. They are also strategically placed to balance the weight, empty or full. I didn't notice that on the Wolfgang model.

In anycase, I have fried bits of meat on the bottom and then added liquid for soups and sauces. I have added cold stuff to hot and not had a problem with loosing heat.

This is a sturdy pot. The stainless steel is thick and it easy is to clean. It heats quickly when your hungry and can simmer sauce for hours without complaining.

If you are looking for a stockpot (especially for spaghetti sauce), go with the Calphalon - you can saute tomatoes on the bottom without any concerns.

Glass lids do form perfect seals, and each has a small steel-ringed hole to release steam.When I showed the cookware to the carpenter who installed our glass-ceramic cooktop, he said, "You got all these for sixty dollars?These are professional quality.You know that!"I prefer cooking on stainless steel like this cookware, not being keen on ingesting non-stick surfaces, which always get scratched, particulary when others use the pans.I highly recommend this cookware, particularly if you have a glass-ceramic cooktop.The flat stainless steel bottoms of the pans stay put and don't leave discoloration on the glass as copper does.This heafty cookware heats evenly, and it is easy to clean.

A bit pricey but after using them I am definitely glad I made the purchase. Make with chocolate cake and fill with chocolate mousse or white cake and fill with chocolate pudding and top with whipped cream and your guests will marvel. Of course, the usual- fill with berries, etc., and pipe on a little whipped cream ...all make for spectacular desserts.

A few tips: Make sure to spray well with a flour cooking spray for easy release. Just cover the flat surface with batter if you want a little smaller cake (not as high). If you don't have one buy a large pastry bag and a large head for piping in mousse, whipped cream, etc.. Also- use half steam pan aluminum trays with the edges twisted up for easy storage of 6 muffins if you like to pipe filling on high.

These will get tons of use. You might want to buy 2 for convenience.
