If you are used to cheaper cookware, there are a few differences with these pots that you will need to get used to.First, since the pots are heavier than single-layer pots, the balance point for pouring a pot with one hand is right up against the pot itself, rather than out along the handle. And since the handles are solid steel, that means you will definitely need to use a pot holder for pouring, although you can usually touch the handles bare handed if you're simply moving the pots around on the stove. Also, the handles for the lids are steel, so you need to use a pot holder just to lift a lid (and remind visitors to do the same, so that they don't burn their hands). While the cookware is made in the Canonsburg, PA, the lids are marked "Made in China."
