Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Original Muffin Top Pan Review

I had bought muffin top pans a few years ago, from a different manufacturer, and they were just plain awful.I really liked the idea of a pan like this that actually worked, and after reading the reviews, I decided to buy two of them.They are even better than I had hoped for.I have multiple allergies and have to use non-wheat flours, so I was understandably skeptical when I mixed up the first batch.They turned out perfectly.With many non-wheat flours, you won't get the rise and height that you would with wheat flour, because the gluten just isn't there in the right quantity.That aside, the muffins were excellent, and very moist.The muffins slid right out with no problems, and nothing stuck.Does it get any better than that?This is one of the few non-stick pans that I've used, that actually didn't stick.Quick release and nothing is left behind.I have several pieces of Chicago Metallic backeware; they are a little more expensive than other brands, but there is very high quality, and they are worth every penny.I am seriously considering buying two more of these pans.They do just what they are supposed to and are very easy to use.This is the best non-stick item I have ever used, and it is the only one that worked the way it was supposed to.I'd give it ten stars, but Amazon only goes as high as five.

Calphalon Classic Bakeware 24-Cup Nonstick Mini Muffin Pan Review

I have been baking off and on for years now, and I had yet to find a muffin pan that I was really satisfied with until now!
I used my new mini muffin pan for the first time this weekend (8/6/05), and it was awesome!I did not have to spray it with non-stick spray and I did not have to wash it, other than to wipe it clean with a damp cloth!The muffins cooked perfectly, browning evenly, and popped right out of the pan!I would totally recommend Calphalon's Mini Muffin Pan!By the way their cookie sheets are great too!

Farberware Nonstick Bakeware 12-Cup Muffin Pan Review

This is literally the best muffin pan I've ever used, and I have used several types, including other nonstick pans, plain aluminum pans, and silicone.

1) It is very heavy duty, literally 3 times the weight of the muffin pans I used previously.It's not going to warp and lose its shape!

2) Very easy to clean.If cleaned shortly after the muffins come out, just wipe clean with a wet sponge.No soaking or scrubbing necessary!

3) The muffins are standard sized.A recipe that is supposed to make 12 muffins will make 12 muffins.This may not sound like a big deal, but my previous pans always made 14 or so!And there is variation in the dimensions of muffin holes in "standard" pans.

I'm planning on going back and ordering another 1 or 2 of these, and then pitching my old ones.If you're in the market for standard-size muffin tins, buy these!

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Straight-sided Muffin/Cornbread Pan Review

The only disappointment I had was that I was expecting a full sized muffin - though they did accurately give the measurements - I just didn't check. ....I agree with the earlier review...bigger than a mini, smaller than a regular.One bonus is that it fits well in a toaster oven and bakes in less than half the time on convection mode.

I use the mini muffin pan to prepare hors d'oevres and little desserts for parties and get-togethers.Everyone is always impressed with the versatility of this pan, along with the great presentation (they look greatin a lined Longaberger basket)! Wilton 6 Cup Kingsize Muffin Pan Review

Pan is heavy and well made.

I bought two and used it for the first time yesterday. From a standard size cake mix box, you can make eight cupcakes with this type of pan. Fill them up just a little over half way. The cupcakes were evenly cooked and are humongous. Reminded me of getting a cupcake at an expensive cupcake store.

They look great decked out with a special frosting.

One annoyance is finding cupcake holders for this pan. We ended finding them at a outlet store, but couldn't find them at any major retailer.

In the usual Chicago Metallic style, this pan is very well built. Heavy, durable, won't warp in the oven. Yes, it costs more than the cheap ones, but this will perform much better and will last for a very long time. Once you use well-made tools, you'll not want to use anything else!
