Had an emergency this year - my oven broke before Thanksgiving. As we usually host this meal, I was concerned that this year we might have to eat out or go to someone elses' house for the holiday. I noticed this roaster on sale, bought it, and used the roaster to cook this years turkey. Some observations:
(1) The process is a little different - but the turkey was moist - resulted in favorable comments from all, (2) the roaster cooked the turkey faster than a traditional big oven, and (3) it is probably more energy efficient than a traditional oven.
Have not tried it for baking yet, but it is supposed to be okay for that also.
And in the future when more than one oven is needed - it will be my second oven.
