This steamer worked really well.I've never steamed before but my experience thus far have been great.It's perfect for the single or couple that are looking for a quick and no mess way to fix a meal.I come home from work, put the water on, prep my food, and put it in the steamer.By the time, I've changed into casual clothes, dinner is ready.

It's opened the door to a whole new way of cooking!

Tayama Multi-Cooker 2.2 Liter Shabu Yaki Review

This is not the exact Shabu Yaki that I purchased, but is just like it and needed a review.It is the perfect cooker for a fun Mongolian Hot Pot party.Being that it is electric and has the temperature dial to regulate the heat it is the perfect pot to use for a fuss-free party. ANd clean up is a breeze as the pot is just taken off the hot plate and plunged in sudsy water for a quick wash.

For your Hot Pot Party just fill with a nice vegetable broth and get it hot, set out the tray of raw veggies, meats, shrimp, scallops, and several dipping sauces, set everyone up with chopstix and have one of those wire basket spoons handy to retrieve lost morsels.Dinner guests take pieces of meat or veggie and hold it in the boiling broth until it is cooked.Then they let it cool on their plate just a little and spoon a smidgen of one of the sauces on it for a tasty bite.After all the meats and veggies have been cooked and eaten, noodles are tossed in and everyone helps themselves to a portion of noodles in a bowl.

This makes for a great party. Ask your guests to come dressed in Asian style.Set the mood with some Chinese lanterns and a hanging dragon for decoration, put some traditional Chinese music on the CD player, make sure you have plenty of chopstix and the fondu-like fun begins.

The kids LOVED this party.My kids and our guests just raved that this was the best one ever.The kids loved cooking their own food.(Make sure you have a sturdy table to set the pots of hot liquid on - no card tables)!So get yourself this perfect little cooker and have some Chinese fondu fun at your house soon!!!

Calphalon Unison Nonstick 4-Quart Soup Pot with Lid Review

I have several other Unison pieces. I decided to grab the little soup pot while it was on sale.

It's a perfect size for 2-4 servings of soup or pasta sauce and fits easily into the dishwasher for cleanup.

Nothing sticks and in this instance (unlike the omelette pans) the lid fits securely.

I have used it for soup, pasta, a small pot roast (goes from stovetop to oven without a problem) and even making hard boiled eggs.

I cook without recipes and have a tendency to cook to the limits of the pot I'm using, so this petite soup pot keeps me from making soup for 12 when I meant to make soup for four.

I've used Calphalon pans for almost 20 years and the Unison's ability to be put into the dishwasher is the main reason why I'm slowly replacing my older pots with these.
