Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner, 15-Ounce Review

I have used this product before and was pleased to be able to locate it once more. We reside overseas and have a new glasstop stove, that is not ours but the land lords. I have tried variuos cleaners, that either scratch the glass, leave residue behind that later burns, or does not clean at all. I adore Weimans Glasstop Cleaner! I used this for the first time to ice a layer cake and it worked great; sleek and left the icing even without any marks.Immediately when i took this out of the package, I was impressed with the quality.The stainless steel is sturdy, the handle is well-designed.I did use this to lift a layer onto the other, and it worked so well!The width of the spatula allows one to take a COOLED layer and with ease, place it in one swift movement to where it is supposed to go.I am so glad I have this in my 'gadgetry' collection.

Global 8-Inch 20cm Cook's Knife Review

This is one of the first global knives I bought.I loved it the first time I held it in my hands.What impressed me most was the perfect balance, the lightweight, and the sharpness.However, what may be perfect for me may not be perfect for you.I'd recommend anyone who is shopping for cutlery to go to a store and try how the knife feels in your hands before buying.And if you can borrow from a friend to try, that's even better.
Having used this knife for several years now, my initial impressions haven't changed.This is still my favorite knife for most tasks.I maintain it regularly with a steel and it is as sharp as it ever was.I have found though that for certain tasks like cutting slits into an onion for dicing or cutting root vegetables, I do prefer a heavier knife (that's why I bought another forged global knife), but that is just personal preference.All in all, a great general purpose kitchen knife.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 11-3/4-Inch Skillets Review

First of all, let me say I agree with the reviewer who deducted stars from the 9" skillet due to the non-stick coating.Since non-stick coatings are chemicals, I refuse to use any cooking utensil with the coating on them.The original, baked enamel finish on this skillet works great.The secret is using moderate heat and adding oil once the pan warms up, then adding the food items.If the meat sticks, it will unstick as it carmelizes (this also applies to their grilling skillets).I find that I can just wipe mine out and keep using it until I make chili or something messy like that.Then all I do is fill the skillet with water and let it sit a while, then it rinses clean.At the maximum, I've taken a boar bristle brush to a couple of spots once or twice, that's all.

I beseech this company to leave the non-stick coating off their skillets even though one reviewer below seems to prefer it.Or at the minimum give the consumer a choice but I'd bet most would prefer the original, satin finish.In fact, I bought this skillet because of the fired enamel finish as I discovered my well-known name brand stainless steel skillet and stew/pasta pot has too much nickel in them so I can't use them.Anyway, I love this skillet.It makes a good wok too as the burner is under the center of the pan.I can fry up one veggie, push it off to the side where it stays warm while I fry the next one, then push it over until I'm finished.Did I say I loved this skillet?

I wish they made a lid for this skillet as I had to buy another brand which doesn't match but it works.Since most skillets come without lids, this is being silly, I agree.So then, I highly recommend this skillet both for cooking and for easy clean-up.

Stoneline WX-9176 2-Piece Fry Pan Set Review

I had seen the Stonedine cookware on TV ads and was intrigued.We've all had our trusty frying pans wear out, right?I didn't need the saucepans or roasting or stewing pots and quite honestly the price is quite high, but I was really interested in the frying pans.After looking into it, I found that Stonedine is actually made by Stoneline - [...]-Use - and found this set on Amazon for a pretty reasonable price.They arrived within days, properly packaged, undamaged and brand spanky new.

I washed and seasoned the pans according to instructions and quite honestly, I'm amazed with these pans.Not only do they do exactly as they say and cook your food completely oil-free, but they are so conductive that you can use a lower heat setting than normal to cook, and you really do taste the natural flavors of the food.The pans are very well-made and this set actually has the better quality stainless handles rather than the composite handles on the Stonedine you see on TV, so they're oven safe up to 500 degrees Farenheit.They don't come with a lid, but that's not a big deal as the lid for my old fryings pan fit/work fine with these pans.

There are warnings that come with the product to season before first use and not put hot pans in cold water as the coating may develop cracks, and not to cut in the pan, which you should avoid anyway to preserve the integrity of the non-stick coating.I hope to enjoy using these pans for a very long time.

All-in-all - 5 stars out of 5 - Love it - very happy with purchase, product quality, speed of shipping and packaging.A+ purchase.
