Revere Polished Aluminum 3-Quart Nonstick Saucepan Review

Currently, the product page here at Amazon says "Tight fitting covers seal in flavors", which sounds to me like it's supposed to come with a lid, and it doesn't.It's a great pan, nevertheless.I love the 3-quart size.One thing that's a little annoying about it, but I'm not sure it could be changed, is, it has no lip whatsoever and the metal is fairly thick so it pours horribly.I occasionally make tea for ice tea in it, and you have to dip out the tea with another cup until the pan is at least less than one-half full. If you try to pour liquid out of the pan with the pan about a half full or more, it will invariably run down the side of the pan and make a mess, no matter how hard you try to be careful. Still, a good, solid cooking pan.

Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 1-1/2-Quart Saucepan with Glass Lid Review

What a fine addition to my slowly-growing collection of Tri-Ply. This one, which I use almost daily, is perfect for boiling a couple of eggs, heating a can of soup, or, best of all, making a perfect Hollandaise from scratch. The practical size and good heft of the pan make no-curdle sauces easy. The trick is to have the ingredients at room temperature, and to gently heat the pan a little before adding them. As with any Tri-Ply pan, remember that this pan conducts heat so efficiently that you'll want to use a much lower heat setting than you're accustomed to. When the sauce is finished, pour it into a serving dish or gravy boat, and put the pan in the sink to soak. Clean-up then requires just a swish with a soapy sponge. My several Tri-Ply pans, like my good knives, make me wonder why I didn't invest in decent stuff years, no, decades earlier.

Tools of the Trade Belgique Hard Anodized Soup Pot, 3 Qt. Review

I love how cute this pot is.It is the perfect size for 2 people.It is non0stick, etc.The problem is that when we use it, it smells and the food cooked in it smells and tastes weird, like hose water.We have tried it a few times, washed it with baking soda, regular dish soap, etc., same thing.It only happens with this pot, none of our other ones.I am going to return mine to Macy's.I would not recommend this product.

Farberware Classic 5/8-Quart Butter Warmer Review

Perfect! This is of course good to warm butter or make a little bitty sauce - but who does that every day? We use it to heat the cream for our coffee, reheat the cold tea or soup, and make real hot chocolate last thing at night. Good balance on the stove and cleans up easy. Cute too!

I recently bought a 10 Pc Anolon Advanced cookware set but it didn't come with a small pan.I bought the 1 1/2 Qt pan and I love it it completed my set.It has a great handle and I especially like the see through glass lid.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 6-1/2-Quart Soup Pot Review

Here is the letter I wrote to these folks today. I feel others should know that acidic foods will cause the nonstick surface on these pots to disintegrate so that you are cooking on exposed ALUMINUM. Not good. My letter:

I called several years ago because the nonstick cookware 6-1/2 qt. saucepan my husband had bought for me a year previous had lost it's "coating" on the bottom and was becoming badly pitted on the sides. I do not use abrasive cleaners. I thought something was wrong with the pot.

Your helpful customer service rep asked me what I cooked in the pot. I told her that I made spaghetti sauce with tomatoes, onions, beef, etc.

She told me what this pot was therefore exempt from warranty because I should never use it for high-acid foods, like tomatoes.

I took her word for it and still have the pot but only use it to boil water.

Today I took the time to read over your website and your instructions and disclaimers for your nonstick cookware. Not only is there no warning about cooking high-acid food in the cookware, you have a PHOTO of a pot just like mine containing a big batch of spaghetti sauce. Some nice tomatoes are sitting on the side. I saved that photo for future reference.

My husband can't even remember what he paid for the pot but said "a lot" and we never bought any more since we figured it would not hold up to tomatoes, one of our favorite foods to cook. I use cast iron and stainless steel now.
