Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, Chrome and Black Review

I used to have an ACME centrifugal juicer. I thought I would never like any juicer better than the ACME because it made good juice and was very easy to clean. The only drawback to a centrifugal juicer is it won't extract much juice from leafy green vegetables and won't juice wheatgrass.
I got this Omega 8005 juicer because I wanted to be able to juice greens and wheat grass as well as root vegetables. I read on a forum that this new Omega juicer is the best there is for under $400. This Omega juicer is even easier to clean than the ACME, which is a big issue because in the long run you won't use a juicer if its a hassle to clean. And it squeezes all the juice out of anything I put in it. The pulp comes out very dry. It is super quiet too and the ACME was loud.
The Omega runs at a low rpm so it doesn't kill enzymes and stuff like that, so its supposed to make healthier juice than a Champion or centrifugal juicer.
Its a pleasure to use. I make juice every day now. I love getting all the nutrients that I need regularly. It helps my body recover from surfing everyday.
The juicer is very well built and very simple. It seems like it will last a long time and it has a very long warranty.
You can tell that I love this juicer, eh?

Edit: It's now 2009 and I've had this juicer almost five years. I still use it just about every day. I still love it. The juicing screen started to wear out a few months ago. I emailed Omega and they sent me a new one for free. They certainly stand by their 10 year warranty. I am comforted to know that if anything else should happen, I still have five more years of no questions asked replacement.

Revere Copper Bottom Teakettle Review

In the market for a good tea kettle?Then look no further.
When the time came for me to get a tea kettle, this was the one I looked for.I grew up with this one in the house, and it's just as great for my needs.Ok, being single, 3.5 quarts may be a bit bigger then I normally use, but I just add as much water as I need and set it on the stove.The water heats quickly.Steam sets off a whistle in the spout, and it can be heard with ease in any part of the house.
I looked at other Revere kettles, but found their handles and spout openers to be rather flimsy.Not so, here.This kettle will last for quite awhile.
As always, Revere has made a wonderful product.It's so easy, even this bachelor has no problem heating water.

I had a Townecraft home demonstation and thought it was wonderful.The salesman was great and really made me excited.Then came the price.I've bought cars for less than that!I started looking around for that same brand on auction sites and found it 1/2 the price, but still very expensive.I went to the waterless cookware site and decided to give Maxam 9 a shot.It took 2 months to get, but the pans are good heavy quality, very easy to clean, and keep the food moist.Waterless cooking, however, takes patience to get right and you are likely to burn some meals if you stick to the time guidelines in the book.I've had them for about two monts now and finally got rid of all of the old teflon and rusty pans...they aren't coming back.I've cooked with the Townecraft pans before and you aren't going to see enough of a difference to warrant 6-8 times the price.Maxam 9 (World's Finest) is almost as good and won't kill your budget.As Zig Ziglar says "It's easier to justify cost once, than apologize for quality forever"The price is more than what you are going to pay in WalMart, but the cost over a lifetime will be much, much lower because you won't buy pans again.
