This is a quality knife with great balance and a good feel. I teach the Boy Scout Merit Badge for Cooking and I bought 8 to give as prizes to best student in each class. The 6" blade is very easy to control, and therefor safer for smaller inexperienced hands. Needs to be hand washed and dried because of the high Carbon Content.
