All-Clad Stainless 12-Quart Tall Stock Pot with Lid Review

I admit, I never felt more skeptical when debating whether to buy this product, but then a miracle hit me when I saw there was one used item for this product selling for $240 by Warehouse Deals.My jaw literally dropped and thought Amazon was joking, but snagged it immediately.I felt like the luckiest man in the world.

I don't think I need to tell others how perfectly this thing simmers stock, and even how perfectly this thing looks, but like with all of All-Clad's cookware, I expect to use this thing for the rest of my life.The only problem I would hate to complain about is that I thought it would be taller, despite its title as a "tall" stock pot.I measured it and found it to be slightly wider than it is tall: I was expecting it to be taller than it was wide but this was never the case with all 12 quart stockpots I bought and measured.

If you are looking for cookware that will last you a lifetime, then buy any of All-Clad's products.Also, look out for Warehouse Deals selling used pieces of cookware that were never touched.Most people won't be as lucky as me finding 40% off of a product like this, but be on your toes nonetheless.

Gourmet Chef Stainless Steel Dutch Ovens Review

This product is nothing special. By that, I mean it's not an amazing piece of cookware that makes your food magically perfect. Rather, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does so at a great rediculously low price. I bought this pot because I wanted a stainless steel pot in which I could make my Mexican rice and slow-cooking dishes. And it does all of those things well. The sides are slightly on the thin side, but the bottom is a bit thicker and heats quickly. If you're looking for a very inexpensive stainless steel pot for your basic cooking needs, you can't go wrong here. I can't predict how long it will last, but at a little over $11, I'll be satisfied if I get a good 3 years out of it.

Winware 3-Ply Stainless Steel Fry Pans Review

This frying pan is a great for cooking many dishes. Today I fried sliced potato with onion with little amount of butter and came out great! 12-inch size gives me a lot of surface to cook a good amount of food for a large family. I definitely recommend this pan for especially a serious cook.

T-Fal Performance Stainless Steel Copper Bottom 2 Quart Covered Sauce Pan Review

I've never been a fan of stainless steel cookware so I was hesitant to purchase this piece. I must say, I am impressed. This piece has a nice, heavy feel to it, but not so heavy that it couldn't be lifted with one hand. Water boils quickly on medium high heat and the heat distribution is remarkable. I am considering purchasing more pieces to replace my existing cookware.

The wok itself is great. I purchased this item for my wife and she loves it.Unfortunately I was a bit upset to find out that this item does not actually come with a lid.The product features state "Tempered glass covers offer see-through convenience and enhance table presentation" causing me to believe this item included a lid.That is not the case and now I am stuck looking for a lid.Great item, misleading product features.

I purchased this Cusinart Stainless 14 inch stir fry.It is a great pan.It is good looking, large so you can cook a lot of food in it.It is extremely easy to clean.It comes with a nice glass lid.It is also light weight. I own the set of Cuisnart Stainless Cookware that I bought last year on Amazon.I am very happy with the set.This wok pan is an excellent value, you simply will not find a good quality wok at this price.Buy It!!

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Steel 4-Piece 12-Quart Pasta/Steamer Set Review

I bought this to replace an older smaller pasta cooker.I have about 20 pieces of the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro cookware but couldn't justify spending over $100 for a large stockpot.The only notable difference is that the Multiclad has the sandwiched aluminum all the way up the sides of the pot.Not really necessary I thought for something I would use mostly for boiling water.Besides, the heat source is only really from below and that extra multiclad surface only adds to the weight.

I love the shiney exterior and the large capacity compared to my previous pasta pot. The steamer insert is a nice little extra but I'm not sure I'd want to haul out this enormous pot just to steam a few veggies.The lid is more domed than Cuisinart's standard lids and has a more sculpted handle.Cleanup is easy but only if you have a very large sink.The handles on both the pot and insert are solid and appear to be very securely attached.

So what's not to like?

This pot was a lot bigger than I anticipated.So large in fact that it doesn't fit in my normal cookware drawer.I ended up having to divide the pot from the insert just so it would fit in the cabinets.And that domed lid just adds to the height.The insert didn't need to stick out of the pot as far as it does and the handles on the insert come out further than those on the pot itself.Where the pot will barely fit, the insert won't just because of the handles.The other problem with the height of this pot comes when you try to use it on your stove.I nearly have to stick my head under the fan hood to see inside it!

The inside of both the pasta insert and the steamer basket won't drain completely.There are no drain holes along the bottom outer edges so the water continues to drip after removing it from the pot whenever it's tilted.I'm also not sure why they made the outsides of the insert and steam basket so shiny but made the insides brushed.This is almost the opposite of their fry pans.A shiny smooth inside would have made cleanup easier without the use of Teflon.

It would have received 5 stars except for these minor issues.
