This is a fantastic pan that I am falling madly in love with. The color is awesome- a pristine sapphire blue that looks great on the table. I used it to cook a paella and it turned out great. I found the lid useful for the paella to keep moisture it. I can't wait to try more recipes, and even use it to for baked pasta style recipes. It heats up evenly- I would say the interior of the pan is 14.5 inches, and I used it on my 8 or 9 inch stove top. All food was cooked equally with adequate stirring. Clean up was a breeze- like my other enameled cast iron pan the white enamel darkens, but I view that as a badge of honor of all the great things I have cooked. It is on the heavy side, (18 pounds) but that is why my husband is assigned cleaning duties. I have heard cast iron should not be used at too high of a temp- I used this one slightly over medium high heat and it cooked efficiently.
