
As for construction, there are no rivets. Side and lid handles are spot welded on (sides = 8 welds each, lid = 12). I've been a metal worker for 10 years and can vouch for the durability of a stainless steel spot weld, and at this quantity I doubt you could get them off without ripping a hole in the pot wall. Rivets may be stronger, but the also get in the way when cleaning. I prefer the welds. All handles are no frills 5/16" bent stainless bars. This is "commercial grade" cookware, so aesthetically speaking it's nothing special, but she'll cook even and take a beating.. like I said, it's a man's pot.
